Document Work (MLA)

Document Work (MLA)

I had a pretty strong hold on how to do in-text citations because MLA format had been used in my middle school and high school. I knew that you would put the authors last name in the parentheses with the page number, but I would often get confused with where the period would go and what would happen if there was an exclamation point or question mark. In high school and the beginning of this year as well I would also use easybib to formulate my citations. With writing these papers I learned how to properly use in-text citations and learned that when you introduce while using signal phrases and use the author’s name in it, you don’t need to put their last name in the parentheses. Before writing paper two, in class, we worked on properly citing for in-text citations. I stopped using easybib for my works cited page and began using the Little Seagul book to make them correctly.
