Recursive Process

Recursive Process

I changed a lot in my second paper that we had worked on for the semester. For starters, in my introduction, I deleted one part about primary and secondary Discourses because it was not relevant to the rest of my paper. I also introduced the authors I would be using, Haas, Gee, Nair and Nair, and the IMRAD Cheat Sheet. I gave a brief introduction to each of them and also specified which building tasks I would be focusing on. For my body paragraphs, each one of them I changed. For the most part, I added in better transitions and started them out by focusing on Scientific Discourse instead of stating the building tasks and fitting in the evidence I had. I added more explanations to my quotes that helped tie together the ideas I was writing about. I ended up splitting my third paragraph in half to focus on the writing part of the Discourse then the reading part of it. I expanded upon my evidence for each and connected the fourth paragraph (the new one) to the real world of the Discourse to Haas’s rhetorical reading process. I also then connected the two together with one of Gee’s building tasks. I expanded my ideas in my fifth paragraph on identities as well and my ideas in my paragraph about relationships. I completely rewrote and finished my paragraph that was focused on Gee’s building task of connections and added a conclusion.
